Competition Terms & Conditions
By entering a Crazy Strength competition, lifters agree to the following terms.
1. Refunds and Withdrawals
Competition entry fees are refundable as follows:
More than 6 weeks before the competition: full refund, less any booking or payment processing fees.
Between 6 and 4 weeks before the competition: 50% refund.
Less than 4 weeks before the competition: no refund will be available.
Refund requests must be made in writing by email.
No refund restriction removes any statutory rights. If the event is cancelled, postponed, or materially changed due to Crazy Strength, a full refund will be applicable.
2. Transfers
Competition entries are not transferable.
If a lifter can no longer attend, the refund policy above will apply.
3. Categories, Bodyweight Classes and Opening Lifts
Lifters may be asked to submit nominated information before the competition, including:
intended bodyweight category;
age category or division, where relevant;
opening lifts or estimated opening attempts.
This information is used to help organise groups, flights, sessions, and the running order of the competition.
Final bodyweight categories and lifting groups will be confirmed following weigh-in, where applicable. Lifters may move up or down a bodyweight category if they weigh into a different class on the day.
Opening lifts may also be resubmitted or confirmed at weigh-in, depending on the rules of the specific competition.
4. Event Details and Changes
Full competition details, including timings, weigh-in information, groupings, flights, running order, and any specific event instructions, will be released between 14 and 7 days before the competition.
Crazy Strength reserves the right to amend timings, flights, groups, running order, weigh-in times, or event format where required for the safe and effective running of the competition.
5. Event Cancellation or Postponement
If a competition is cancelled, postponed, or materially changed due to Crazy Strength, entrants will be entitled to a full refund or the option to transfer to a rearranged date, where applicable.
6. Eligibility
Lifters are responsible for ensuring they meet the eligibility requirements for the competition they enter.
Eligibility may be defined by:
the relevant national governing body;
federation membership requirements;
age or category requirements;
insurance requirements;
competition-specific entry criteria.
For competitions run under British Weightlifting, British Powerlifting, or another governing body, eligibility and insurance requirements will be aligned with the relevant organisation’s rules and affiliation requirements.
7. Weigh-In and Competition Rules
Weigh-in times, competition rules, and specific event instructions will be released between 14 and 7 days before the competition.
Lifters must comply with the published rules, referee decisions, event staff instructions, and any requirements set by the relevant governing body or competition organiser.
8. Conduct
All lifters, coaches, spectators, and attendees are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly.
In simple terms: be a good human.
Abusive, unsafe, aggressive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour towards staff, referees, volunteers, coaches, spectators, or other lifters may result in removal from the competition without refund.
9. Injury, Health and Participation Risk
Lifters enter and compete at their own risk.
Lifters should not compete if injured, unwell, or medically advised not to take part. It is the lifter’s responsibility to ensure they are physically able to participate safely.
Where competitions are run through British Weightlifting, British Powerlifting, or another recognised governing body, insurance cover will be subject to the relevant national governing body affiliation, rules, membership status, and policy terms.
10. Photography and Media
Photography and video may be taken during the event for promotional, educational, and social media use by Crazy Strength.
Anyone with safeguarding, welfare, or privacy concerns must notify the organisers before the event.
Where children or vulnerable persons are involved, safeguarding considerations will take priority.
11. Personal Belongings
